Since infancy, patient had polio in left leg leaving the leg with no nervous sensation in the upper part of his leg and a pronounced limp while walking. Patient had to hold his knee with his hand to walk, and use his hands to support himself while rising from a seating position.<\/p>

In addition to the physical challenge, the condition caused severe mental agony to the patient, who faced various forms of discrimination, ridicule and demotivation from many insensitive individuals and groups. This led to manifestations of some mental ailments also.<\/p>

A. Diagnosis:<\/span> The polio condition was being highly hindered by his mental setbacks, which were caused by his physically challenged situation. in addition, his obesity, overall body strength and balance would all play a role in holistic healing.<\/p>

Diet and hormonal wellbeing were also needed as well as substance use maturity.<\/p>

There was inordinate pressure on his right leg which needed to be rebalanced.<\/p>

In his case, doctors had not prescribed any medication at this point in life, and no medication was to be initiated in this approach.<\/p>

B. prognosis:<\/span> doctor’s prognosis had been permanent loss of nervous sensation in affected areas and minimal abilities in the lim.<\/p>

C. prescribe:<\/span> integrated and holistic approach focused on removing all mental barriers prior to physical training. extensive sessions to build trust and mental confidence were held.<\/p>

Focus on ancillary activities, like swimming and overall cardio and weight training for the body was prescribed for instilling confidence in his own abilities and helping with weight loss as well.<\/p>

Consultation with clinical dietician was initiated for harmonal wellbeing and strengthening of nerves.<\/p>

D. practice:<\/span> balancing exercise for both legs and rehab sessions were used, whereby the affected leg was gradually brought into active focus and more and more weight could be shifted on to it, which at the same time provided relief to the right leg.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

He could walk, and sometimes run, without holding his knees or legs, exhibited only a slight limp, swam very well, and contrary to medical prognosis he even claimed that he felt some sensations in his nerves.<\/p>

Progress was far better than expected, to the extent that a leading global organization specializing in rehab equipment and body parts for physically challenged people, were surprised that a polio patient could reach the performance levels, that the patient finally achieved.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
